Our Roles in Advancing SDG
Hi and welcome back to my blog!
For today's blog, I would like to talk about our individual role in achieving the 17 global goals. In order to achieve this, by 2030, we all need to question ourselves "what have I done so far to contribute to this global goal in achieving the SDG?" if the answer is "eh not much" or "what is SDG?" then please carry on reading this blog and hopefully you will change on how you live on your everyday life.
Another important role in achieving SDG is living your life efficiently. As I mentioned above, after educating yourself about the issues, you make take into action by limiting plastic waste, decrease the consumption of useless energy ( living your AC on even though no one is in the room ) and eat more plant-based foods ( you can check out my blog about my carbon footprint for further information about eating more plant-based foods.) These 3 actions can massively change your carbon footprint. It may seem a lot but for example, if you stop using supermarket plastic bags instead of bringing your own reusable bag, then you are saving about 3/4 plastic bags each time you go out to buy groceries. As for me, I don't always use a reusable bag since I keep forgetting it in my house, but I am trying my best to use a reusable bag next time I go shopping with my mum.
If you are thinking, "wait is that it? has it been this easy to achieve SDG?"
The answer is yes it is this easy. It won't achieve EVERY SDG's but every action counts. If we all start today, we will see many drastic changes around our community or township such as less litter, less carbon emission and etc.
So that's all for today, I hope this blog has been beneficial to you and you actually take it into action because remember, action speaks louder than words. I will try my best to do the 3 actions that we need to do and I will see you on the next blog. Bye assalamualaikum.
